The NasDem Party does not blame the advancement of President Joko Widodo’s son, Kaesang Pangarep, in the Jakarta gubernatorial election, including the name Suswono who was pushed by PKS to pair up with Ridwan Kamil.
NasDem Party General Chairman Surya Paloh when met at the parliament complex, Senayan Jakarta, said that the NasDem party did not have a problem with whoever came forward to accompany Ridwan Kamil in the Jakarta gubernatorial election.
“There’s no problem. Nasdem is fine,” he said, Friday (16/8).
But according to him, the election of regional heads in each region must have variations. So it is natural if there are different choices.
“There are variations, I think. KIM is certain. But the provision from regional areas is not necessarily uniform. The same region has different choices. That’s normal,” he explained.
Meanwhile, regarding the number of seats that may be negotiated with president-elect Prabowo Subianto, this is a sensitive discussion.
“Well, NasDem is quite sensitive about that. He is quite sensitive, his party is quite unique. We are ashamed to talk about such matters. We have pride in ourselves, we know ethically our morality,” he said. (Sru/P-2)
