The DKI Jakarta DPW of the NasDem Party held a badminton match titled Smash Perubahan to celebrate the 79th Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia. The Head of the Smash Perubahan Committee, Gusti Arif, admitted that he was happy and proud after successfully holding the match.
It is known that Smash Perubahan has been held since August 15-17, 2024. The participants in the badminton match were cadres from the NasDem Party who were in the DKI Jakarta DPW.
“Alhamdulillah today went well, smoothly and lively. And this activity has been going on for the past three days from the 15th to the 17th in the context of the Republic of Indonesia’s Independence Day. We combined everything with internal party activities for us to re-solidify the NasDem party in Jakarta,” said Gusti Arif as quoted in Jakarta, Sunday (18/8)
He also conveyed that the unity and solidarity of the members is expected to be built from the Smash Perubahan activity.
“The hope is to be more solid in the future. We know that there will be a regional election in Jakarta, God willing, sportsmanship will be displayed through this sport so that later in the regional election it can be more sporty, even faster,” he said.
The initiator of the Smash Perubahan idea, who is also the Chairman of the DKI Jakarta DPW of the NasDem Party, Wibi Andrino, said that this sports competition event was held for the first time this year.

He hopes that in the following year, the 80th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia, there will be more sports branches (cabor) competed in the DKI Jakarta NasDem DPW.
Wibi hopes that at least next year a football match with a similar concept will be held for the upcoming Indonesian Independence Day.
“The most popular sport among Indonesian people is football. We will try later, we will present a competition in Jakarta to make it even more crowded. Why did we choose Badminton this year, we hope it will be the gold medalist in every Olympics,” said Wibi.

“So yesterday we saw badminton contribute bronze. Hopefully with this proud Indonesian sport, in the next Olympics we can get gold.
“Because this is a favorite, that’s why we made this match. It turned out to be true, the enthusiasm was extraordinary,” he added.
On the other hand, the competition event on the Indonesian Independence Day as they held is expected to gain public attention. Especially people outside the NasDem Party cadres.
“This year, the participants are internal. From internal cadres alone, they are enthusiastic. Imagine if this was opened to the public, it would be overwhelming. We are considering opening it to the public (next year). We are also inviting, if the public of the Nasdem party is also good. If you want to enter the Nasdem party, join our competition,” he concluded. (Dis/Z-8)
