NASA’s Solar Mission Detects a Solar Eclipse in Space

A spacecraft captured the moon passing in front of the face of the sun, capturing a solar dynamics vehicle SDO NASA Operation solar eclipse From its privileged position in space, which is the only place where this eclipse was visible.

According to the website, spaceAt the height of the eclipse, the moon covered 67% of the sun, and the lunar surface was lit by the fire of the sun.

As it usually look SDO To the Sun as a source of space weather, or radiation in space that affects Earth, aspects it studies include the Sun’s magnetic field, sunspots, and other aspects that influence activity during the normal 11-year solar cycle.

NASA wrote: “Studying SDO How solar activity creates and drives space weather, and spacecraft measurements of the Sun’s interior, atmosphere, magnetic field, and energy output are all working to help us understand the star we live with.”

and was launched SDO was established in February 2010 and forms part of the Solar Spacecraft Network of NASA and its partner agency, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).NOAA).

The sun has been very active lately and unusually early in its cycle, which should reach its zenith around 2025.

Scientists are interested in following the story of the origin of solar flares and the accompanying coronal mass ejection of charged particles, which might create colorful auroras in Earth’s atmosphere if the coronal mass ejections target our planet.

Also, coronal mass ejections are usually harmless, but powerful eruptions can disrupt satellites, power lines and other infrastructure, which is why scientists are keen on good predictions.

It is worth noting that NASA sent a close-up imaging mission called the Parker Solar Probe to investigate the corona, or the extremely hot outer region of the sun.
