NASA Releases Latest Photos of Inmyeonam Rock on Mars: An Incredible 3D Anaglyph View

The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) has released the latest photos of Inmyeonam Rock on Mars, which was joked regarding in the 1970s as being a sculpture of an alien.

NASA presented the latest images of Mars’ Inmyeonam taken by the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter (MRO) through its official channel on the 13th. This photo is the result of a composite of photos taken by MRO’s high-resolution imaging equipment for scientific experiments, ‘HiRISE’, taken in October and November last year.

Mars’ face rock was first discovered in 1976 by NASA’s ‘Viking 1’ while orbiting Mars. The shading on the surface of the hill eroded by sandstorms strangely resembles a human face, making it a hot topic and called the ‘Face on Mars.’

An official from the research team explained, “MRO maximized the three-dimensional effect by combining two photos taken with ‘HiRISE’ using anaglyph method. If you have anaglyph glasses, you can fully experience the three-dimensional effect.”

This official said, “The picture sent to Earth by ‘Viking 1’, which first took pictures of this rock, had many black dots on the surface. This was a bit error that occurred when the spacecraft sent the image to Earth, and it exquisitely created nostrils. “Inmyeonam was born,” he added.

NASA photographed Inmyeonam once more in 2001 during an exploration using the Mars Rover ‘Mars Global Surveyor’. Because there is a 25-year difference in technology from ‘Viking 1’, the photo sent at this time contained a bumpy, ordinary Martian hill without any bit errors.

An official from the research team said, “On Mars, which has the most active exploration activities other than the Moon, exploration equipment from NASA and the European Space Agency (ESA) are currently continuing their respective missions. Thanks to this, humanity can enjoy various images and photos of Mars.” “He said.

On the 10th, ESA released a 3 minute and 50 second video of the Valles Marineris taken by the Mars Exploration Rover ‘Mars Express’. This video thrilled space enthusiasts by capturing the magnificent scenery of the so-called Noctis Labyrinthus, famous among Marineris Valley.
