A mysterious computer problem means that the NASA team responsible for caring for the Voyager 1 spacecraft can no longer communicate with the probe.

The system that manages the aircraft’s flight data has reportedly entered repeat mode as it sends the same sequence of data over and over once more, CNN reports.
Although the probe can still receive commands from Earth, it has not returned science data since November 14, when NASA personnel became aware of the problem.
The cause of the computer bug is not yet known as NASA teams are working to collect more information to better understand the problem.
Voyager 1 reportedly experienced a similar problem in 1981, but according to NASA publicist Calla Cofield, this new bug is not due to the same problem encountered more than 40 years ago.
Meanwhile, the device launched in 1977 is currently more than 24 billion kilometers from Earth.
A delay of more than 22 hours is necessary for the device to receive a command sent from the blue planet.
