Thank you for having me.
**Interviewer:**
It’s the holiday season, and many people are looking up at the stars and thinking about you. Could you tell us about what it’s like to celebrate the holidays hundreds of miles above Earth?
**[Astronaut Name]:**
While we certainly miss being with our families back home, there’s a unique magic to experiencing the holidays from space. We may not have snow or a customary Christmas tree, but we do our best to bring familiar traditions onboard. We decorate the station with festive lights, enjoy special meals, and even exchange small gifts. Most importantly, we reflect on the amazing privilege of being part of something so much bigger than ourselves.
**Interviewer:**
That’s a lovely outlook. Looking down at Earth during this time, do you have any unique reflections on the season’s message of peace and goodwill?
**[Astronaut Name]:**
Seeing our planet from up here, a fragile sphere of blue and green suspended in the blackness of space, really reinforces the interconnectedness of humanity. Borders disappear. Differences seem insignificant. We’re all sharing the same home, and that shared fragility underscores the importance of cooperation, understanding, and peace.
**Interviewer:**
Powerful words. Do you have a special message you’d like to share with people celebrating back on Earth this holiday season?
**[Astronaut Name]:**
