Napoli president, Aurelio De Laurentiis, announces the signing of Napoli goalkeeper Salvatore Sirigu.
Italian club Napoli signed today, Thursday, goalkeeper Salvatore Sirigo, in a free transfer deal, following he was released from his contract with Genoa, following the latter’s relegation to the Italian League, the second division, “Serie B”.
The announcement of the deal came, in a tweet from Naples President, Aurelio De Laurentiis, in which he said: “Welcome, Salvatore!”

According to press reports, Sirigo, who played with Paris Saint-Germain from 2011 to 2016, will be a replacement for the current goalkeeper Alex Merritt.
And it was reported that Napoli is in the process of signing a new goalkeeper, either the Spaniard Kipa Arrizabalaga, from Chelsea, or the Costa Rican Keylor Navas, from Paris Saint-Germain.
It is noteworthy that Sirigo participated with the Italian national team in 28 international matches, and won the European Cup with his country, as well as playing 246 matches in “Serie A”.
