Recall that Mahsa Amini was arrested in Tehran, the capital of Iran, because she did not wear the veil properly. According to the authorities, she died of a heart attack, an explanation that is far from convincing the population.

Demonstrations by women have also shaken the country since this tragic event.

“Where are the activists for real feminist fights?” asked the comedian at the microphone of Sophie Durocher, Thursday.

The former candidate for the leadership of the Parti Québécois also believes that non-governmental organizations (NGOs) should demand answers from the Iranian regime and, above all, denounce the situation much more vehemently.

According to some organizations, there are already nearly 300 dead in the protests in Iran.
