Recently, the Supreme People’s Court made a ruling in accordance with the law on the review case of defendant Lao Rongzhi’s death penalty for intentional homicide, robbery, and kidnapping, and approved Lao Rongzhi’s death sentence. On the morning of December 18, 2023, the Nanchang Intermediate People’s Court executed Lao Rongzhi’s death sentence in compliance with the execution order issued by the Supreme People’s Court. The Nanchang Municipal People’s Procuratorate dispatched personnel to conduct on-site supervision in accordance with the law.
