Samiha Zaki Al-Nyal, the real name of the artist, Nahid Sharif, an Egyptian actress, was born on January 1, 1942 in the city of Beni Suef, Al-Wasta Center. Her talent was discovered by director Hussein Helmy Al-Muhandis, through actress Zubaida Tharwat,

The artist “Nahed Sharif” was famous throughout her artistic history, for her skill in performing seductive roles, in the era of the seventies, until she became one of the most important symbols of Egyptian cinema.

Her artistic debut and her first roles were through the late artist “Abdul Salam al-Nabulsi”, when he gave her a small role in the movie “Habib Hayati” in 1958, and then she started in tournaments and distinguished roles through her participation in films (Under the City Sky, Cat’s Claw, My daughters and I, Student House, The Three Love Her, Women of the Night, Whispers of the Night) and other films, and the most famous of her films at that stage was “Wolves that do not eat meat”, which sparked a lot of controversy, because of the bold scenes in the film.

Where Nahed Sharif took a very difficult path, especially as she was the first Egyptian actress to appear completely naked in a movie, the movie “Wolves Do Not Eat Meat”, a Lebanese production in 1973, and the artist “Ezzat Al-Alayli” and the artist “Mohsen Sarhan” co-starred with her.

All scenes of the film were filmed entirely in the State of Kuwait, and the film was banned, due to its daring scenes. The artist, “Nahed Sharif” was married 3 times, the first marriage was from her discoverer, the director, “Hussein Helmy Al-Mohandes”, and he was more than 20 years older than her, and Nahed Sharif was 18 years old at the time, and the second marriage was with the artist “Kamal El-Shennawy”, who was She is 25 years older than her, especially since she fell in love with him while they worked together in the movie “Under the City Sky”,

But Kamal Al-Shennawi offered her to marry secretly following their participation in the movie “Women of the Night” in 1973, and she accepted Nahid Sharif at first, then rebelled once morest being a second wife and the separation took place, and her third marriage was, through her presence in Beirut, from the Lebanese gambler “Edward Jerjian”, who He committed suicide in Cairo, and she gave birth to her only daughter, Lina.

She was diagnosed with breast cancer at the height of her fame, as she was at that time married to her third Lebanese husband, but he abandoned her, and she spent all her money on treatment, and returned to Egypt and resorted to her ex-husband, “Kamal El-Shenawy”, where he was able to obtain a decision for her to be treated on State expense, and she traveled to Sweden and underwent a successful surgery there, then returned to Egypt, but her health condition deteriorated, then she traveled to London with the necessity of a surgery, so she had to work and intensify her artistic activity.

When she traveled, she asked her Lebanese husband to accompany her, but he refused and took advantage of her illness to collect financial aid under the pretext of treating her. When she learned what her husband had done, she resorted to the Egyptian embassy and obtained a divorce, and following 4 months of treatment in London,

Doctors ordered her to return to Egypt, as her health condition had become bad and she had no treatment, and indeed she returned to Cairo and completed her role in the movie “Morsi Over Morsi Under”, but she might not complete it and the disease worsened for her, and she entered the Maadi Hospital for the Armed Forces, until she left on April 7. 1981, at the age of 39.
