Naeun Son posted a handwritten letter on her Instagram on the 8th, saying, “I am leaving Apink, who I have been with for the past 11 years. It wasn’t an easy decision for her, but now I’m going to become another panda to support Apink.”
Son Na-eun then wrote, “I think the way I can repay you is to keep the name of Apink Son Na-eun in my heart and show me a better side so that I don’t feel ashamed of that name.”
Naeun Son also said, “I love Apink a lot and I will sincerely support you. So far, she has been Apink’s Na-eun.”
Earlier, Apink’s agency, IST Entertainment, said on the same day, “Apink’s 11th anniversary fan song release schedule, which is regarding to be released on April 19, will be the starting point for the group to be composed of five members: Park Cho-rong, Yoon Bomi, Jung Eun-ji, Kim Nam-joo, and Oh Ha-young. We will continue our activities,” he said.
He continued, “All 6 members and officials from both companies met in person to share their opinions on the group’s overall activities, and following much deliberation, we have recently made this decision.”
Since their debut with ‘I don’t know’ in 2011, Apink has been loved by hit songs such as ‘Mr. Chu’, ‘No No No’, and ‘Dumb Durum’. In February, the 10th anniversary of their debut special album ‘Soul’ was released. Naeun Son moved to YG Entertainment following the contract with her agency ended last year.
As he might not participate in Apink’s 10th anniversary album, which was recently released, rumors of discord arose.

I’ve been thinking a lot regarding how to tell this story in words, and I’m trembling even as I write this right now. I have to leave Apink, which I have been with for the past 11 years.
Since Apink is like a family where we have been together for a long time, it was a difficult decision following much deliberation, and it was not an easy decision, but now I am becoming another panda to support Apink.

I can’t describe my feelings in words, but…
I want to express my sincere gratitude to everyone who gave me the happiest time that made my teens and 20s the most dazzling.
I think the way I can repay you is to keep the name of Apink Son Na-eun in my heart and show me a better side so that I am not ashamed of that name.
