Al-Rassi documented a picture of her brother via Al-Sturi, on her Instagram account, and commented: “Today is the 40th of your death, my brother, from the day you went, I went with you, my body is right here, but my soul is searching for your soul. The Lebanese Minister of Public Works and Transport comments
In the first official statement regarding the death of Georges Al-Rassi, the Lebanese Minister of Public Works and Transport, Ali Hamiyah, acknowledged that the factory road is the road to death, revealing that he had taken measures to find out the location of the accident. Where there is a concrete barrier in the middle of the road without adequate lighting, which caused the accident that killed Al-Rassi.
Hamiyah pledged that he would not stand idly by in the face of all the traffic accidents that occur in Lebanon.
He pointed out that the initial action he had taken was to discover the road to the international factory, and to take the matter to the end.
He also stressed that “it did not and will not cover anyone, and that every guilty person will be punished according to the law.”
