Nadia FETTAH, Minister of Economy and Finance, received, on Tuesday, September 27, 2022, a delegation composed of nine Directors of the African Development Bank (AfDB), which is carrying out, from September 26 to 30, 2022, a mission of consultation in Morocco.
This consultation mission, which is part of the annual visits of members of the AfDB Board of Directors to the regional member countries of the Bank, aims to assess the quality of the support of this institution to our country and to a perspective of the main priorities of the Moroccan Government.
On the occasion of this meeting, FETTAH praised the quality of the financial and technical cooperation relations that have long linked the Kingdom of Morocco to the AfDB.
The Minister of Economy and Finance thanked, in this regard, the AfDB delegation for the support provided by the Bank to our country in the implementation of several structuring reforms undertaken by Morocco under the enlightened leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, particularly in the areas of public administration, governance, health, education, the financial sector and the competitiveness of the economy.
FETTAH also commended the support provided by the Bank for the implementation of several infrastructure projects which have considerably contributed to better inclusion of the populations, especially young people and women.
For their part, the Directors of the AfDB hailed the relevance of the reforms undertaken by the Kingdom and which make our country a model to be followed by other African countries, while emphasizing the Bank’s readiness to pursue and strengthen its support for Morocco’s economic and social development efforts.
