More than 3,000 male and female athletes are participating this evening in a running race at the Meydan Track, as part of the activities of the 11th edition of the “Nad Al Sheba Sports Tournament,” which is held under the slogan “Limitless Capabilities,” and continues until March 31, and includes 9 sports games.
The race is held over distances of 4, 5, and 10 kilometres. It is the open category of the 10 kilometer race for male and female citizens, and the open category for men and women. It allows the participation of national and club players, police teams, the armed forces, civil defense, and fitness and athletics coaches. The 5 kilometer race includes the community category, male and female citizens, and the category Open for men, category for senior citizens and residents, men and women, aged 50 years and over. The 4 km race includes open junior categories designated for young men and women, aged 13 and 14 years, and male and female youth, aged 11 and 12 years.
On the other hand, the UAE champions won 7 colored medals in the tournament’s fencing championship, in which 127 male and female players from 14 countries participated. Emirati Khaled Mubarak won the gold medal in the Arab saber for the men’s/international category, while his teammates won three silver medals. Three bronze medals, while Tunisia came in second place with two medals, and Saudi Arabia came in third place with one gold medal, equal with Egypt, then Estonia with one silver medal.
