National You are going through one of those moments in which almost everything you set out to do comes out. The tricolor hasn’t lost for nine games (the last defeat was on June 5 once morest Danubio in Jardines del Hipódromo), yesterday they justifiably beat Boston River 2-0, he won his series and qualified to play the final of the Intermediate Tournament once morest Liverpool, which will be played this Wednesday at 8:00 p.m. at the Centenario Stadium.
Nacional had patience in a packed Grand Central Park. After a first half in which the game was even and in which Boston River handled the ball well, the tricolor accelerated in the complement and won with goals from Emmanuel Gigliotti y Franco Fagundez.
In the first part, El Sastre controlled Nacional’s right wing, since neither Leandro Lozano nor Alfonso Trezza might gravitate.
The whites sought to create danger with filtered passes and attempts to Philip Horse -the best of the game- and the changes of front of Diego Zabala, of interesting minutes. A half turn by Gigliotti triggered an outstanding intervention by Santiago Silva in the play in which Nacional was closest to opening the scoring in the first half that ended with an excellent collective play by the visit that ended with a shot by Alexander Machado that was lost just outside. In that first period, Nacional requested a penalty for a possible foul on Trezza that generated controversy.
Nacional justified the victory in the complement. What happened? He played more orderly, with a more compact block and a few meters higher and the figure of Fagúndez grew, who went from less to more in the match and was the one who took charge of the game, throwing himself a few meters further back and constantly coming into contact with the ball.
Again Gigliotti had a half turn that made half of the GPC shout the goal, but the ball went just wide. In that incidence it was Fagúndez who assisted him.
At 57′ Silva from Salta missed the ball and from that corner came the first goal as Brian Ocampo executed it quickly, Camilo Cándido put a cross to the near post that the Argentine nine took advantage of.
Boston River felt the impact. So much so that in a few minutes Nacional widened the lead thanks to an individual play by Fagúndez with many technical attributes in which he faked twice before crossing the ball to the Sastre goalkeeper.
Despite Boston River’s good handling of the ball, especially Rodrigo Pérez, Alan Rodríguez and José Alberti, the visit lacked depth (Villa had one in his hair) and Nacional continues to establish itself, while its forwards continue to score goals once morest waiting for the white smoke with the arrival of Luis Suárez.
