Having not appeared on the small screen for a LONG time, actress and model Nabila Syakieb has apparently been pursuing her hobby of horse riding, even in the midst of her various activities as a celebrity as well as a wife and mother. Nabila always looks for free time to go horse riding during the week, for her horse riding is the best “me time”.
“Currently, the most persistent thing is to pursue a hobby of horse riding. I usually ride every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday, so 5 times a week. “For me, maybe horse riding is not a sport, but more because I really have a hobby, so it’s more like “me time” because if you don’t do sport for a week, it seems a bit lacking,” said Nabila Syakieb as reported by YouTube TSMedia on Thursday (18/4 ).
Not only Nabila Syakieb, Reshwara’s husband also likes horse riding and has a complete ranch with its own stable and riding track. The ranch owned by Nabila Syakieb’s husband is also a regular place for many celebrities who like horse riding.
“Incidentally, my husband also likes riding, so sometimes he also spends time with his husband riding horses. “So, back then, my hobby was horse riding, my husband also met in the world of horse riding, coincidentally, his father was the owner of a horse competition venue, so we finally met there,”
The 38 year old woman said she had a personal horse which she usually used for riding. He also gave several tips for people who are planning to buy a horse to make it easier to carry out their equestrian hobby. According to him, buying and keeping a horse is the same as caring for cats and dogs, these animals will be tamer if they are kept from a young age.
“So I have my own horse because I happened to have kept the horse as a baby. In my opinion, when you want to buy a horse, it’s better if it’s mature, like 7 years old and above, because it’s less dangerous. “But if the horse is under 7 years old or still small, it’s a bit of a hassle and the risks are big, especially since I’m also a mother who still has to take care of small children,” she added.

The woman, who has had a hobby of riding since elementary school, dismissed the notion that equestrian sport is an exclusive sport, for her the costs of various types of sport are relatively in line with the benefits and needs required.
“There is an opinion that horse sports are expensive, but in my opinion all sports are relative and have their pluses and minuses. “What this means is that if we talk regarding expensive horse riding, it turns out that golf is also very expensive, like memberships, all kinds of things are very expensive, Pilates is also expensive per session,” he explained.

“If you practice horse riding in a proper place, it is better, the horse will also be trained to be more rideable and for people who are just learning horse riding school, the horse is usually tamer and easier to control,” he said.
Furthermore, Nabila said that her initial introduction to horses began in elementary school. He said that his family was the first to introduce him to equestrian sport, until he finally took it up at a riding school.
“So my father used to have a horse at his villa, but it wasn’t a horse that was well trained to ride, it was more like a pet. “Then, from when I was little, I loved riding the horses in Puncak that went round and round, from there my mother saw that I really had a passion for horse riding, finally my mother took me to a horse riding school, it has become a hobby now,” he said.

However, according to him, being consistent in equestrian sports is not easy. Moreover, horse riding is a type of sport that is extra energetic and requires a high level of concentration and strong courage.
“Many people want to go horse riding, some people may be able to buy a horse and be able to pay for horse riding training but in the end whether they are mentally strong or not because for equestrian sports, if you are really scared you won’t be able to survive, in the end, even though horse riding is a hype and people want to try it, but “In the end there will be a natural selection as to whether or not he wants to stick with his horse riding hobby,” he explained.
However, Nabila does not deny that the price of a horse that is suitable for riding is quite high on the market. However, he explained that horse prices vary from tens of millions to hundreds of billions.
“The price range for a good rider’s horse is around 100 million, there are some below that but maybe they are not good enough to ride. “Meanwhile, the price of horses like those of international athletes can reach tens of billions or even hundreds of billions,” he said.
The mother of one child said she had experienced something unpleasant while pursuing her horse riding hobby. Once, he was carried away by a horse and fell, but this did not dampen his desire to continue pursuing his hobby.
“I once was horse riding and lost control and was taken away by the horse. At times like that it is dangerous because it will be helpless. If that happens then the anticipation is to remain seated relaxed and calm so you can think, don’t scream because the horse will panic even more. “Riding really trains us to stay focused and calm in any condition,” he said.
According to Nabila, many things influence the success of equestrian sports, apart from the calm factor that the driver must have, this is also determined by the condition of the horse, in this case the horse’s food factor determines the horse’s attitude when being ridden.
“But if we are dealing with animals, there will certainly be errors, but they must be minimized, because in the world of horses, it is very important to pay attention to the appropriate portion of feed, if the feed we give is wrong then the horse’s energy will be too big or too small, of course that is dangerous for rider,” he said.
On the other hand, Nabila often feels worried when people think that horse riding is not a sport because it is considered just sitting on a horse, even though according to her, horse riding requires extra effort in moving various bodies.
“Horse riding is a ‘full body workout’ because the legs, thighs and stomach have to move so the brain also has to think to find the route so you don’t just sit around because the horse won’t move,” he explained.
Apart from being a hobby, Nabila also often uses horse riding as an activity that makes money by participating in various competitions. Kendari is not a professional athlete but he admits that he has participated in several competitions and championships.
“I’m in the category of not being an athlete but someone who really likes horse riding and the bonus is that I like to compete occasionally at the local level, because if you really want to be an equestrian athlete you really have to be committed, you have to train really seriously and you have to prepare mentally which is also very important,” he concluded.
