NEW YORK (EFE).— Singer Taylor Swift shared a photo on social media with a silhouette that could be that of Vice President and Democratic candidate Kamala Harris, but did not confirm with a text her support for the woman who is fighting to become the first female president of the United States.
Taylor, who is currently on tour in Europe, posted ten photos from her concert in Warsaw, Poland, the night before last, and the seventh image showed the singer in the foreground on stage with a silhouette similar to Kamala’s waving behind her.
However, in the caption the artist only refers to the concert in the Old Continent and does not mention anything related to United States politics.
Taylor Swift is known for leaving secret messages to her fans both on her social networks and in her music videos.
In 2020, the star endorsed Biden, telling V Magazine: “I will be proudly voting for Joe Biden and Kamala Harris in this year’s presidential election.”
The singer is at the height of her fame and would have a huge influence on younger voters.
The day before yesterday, Kamala Harris announced that her running mate for the presidential election is Minnesota Governor Tim Walz.
The vice president already has the support of British singer Charli XCX and American artists Ariana Grande, Cardi B and John Legend.
Meanwhile, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump said yesterday that both Kamala and Walz are communists, and suggested that he would soon debate the current vice president despite having said otherwise.
In an interview with Fox News, the former Republican president (2017-2021) said that the Democratic ticket shares the ideas of Senator Bernie Sanders, one of the most progressive in the US Congress.
“I couldn’t be more excited” that Kamala Harris made that “impactful choice,” he said.
He added that Walz is quite liberal, “probably” more so than Sanders.
