Reported missing in 2013, an American from Connecticut was found dead in his apartment in New York State. He would have lived with a new identity for almost a decade, according to the authorities.
Robert Hoagland, 59, was last seen at a gas station in Newtown, Connecticut on July 28, 2013.
The next day, Mr. Hoagland had to go to the airport to pick up his wife. He never surrendered. He didn’t show up for work either.
His wallet, his medication, his mobile phone and the vehicles belonging to the family were found at his home.
Nearly 10 years later, investigators believe Robert Hoagland had been living in Sullivan County since November 2013, where he went by the name Richard King.
Newtown Police confirmed on Wednesday that the cause of Mr Hoagland’s death was not criminal.
