A terrible discovery was made this Sunday around 1:30 p.m., along the towpath of the Lys in Wervik, in Flanders. The body of a man was fished out of the water, indicate our colleagues from HLN.
It was in the followingnoon that passers-by saw the body floating. Firefighters quickly arrived on the scene to pull the body out of the water. The victim was deceased.
An investigation has been launched to identify the victim and determine the circumstances of the tragedy.
