A man from Kambar said the building next to the government office served food and children ate before going to school. Army fighters bombed two places: the office and the building where the children were. A Russian attack helicopter, the Mir-35, also strafed the fleeing residents.

National military fighter planes also bombed the same village around 5:30 pm on the same day. Young people are believed to have died while collecting bodies and conducting rescue operations.
