ABU DHABI, 6th June / WAM / The activities of the student exhibition of the Mawhibatti 2023 program were launched in Manarat Al Saadiyat, with the participation of more than 500 artworks by more than 200 art students enrolled in the visual arts department of this year’s Mawhibatti program.
The program is the result of joint cooperation between the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi and the Department of Education and Knowledge in Abu Dhabi, to develop and refine artistic talents.
The Visual Arts Exhibition will be held from May 23 to August 20, 2023, and supports the artistic talents of students enrolled in public and private schools and educational partnership schools in the emirate, as well as highlighting a variety of skills in the fields of graphic design, drawing, coloring, sculpture, photography and art. Calligraphy.
In its sixth consecutive year, the exhibition provides an ideal platform for students to display their creative works in front of the public, encouraging them to continue practicing their art, refining their skills and taking them to new heights.
His Excellency Mohammed Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi, said: The annual “My Talent” exhibition for students embodies Abu Dhabi’s firm commitment to nurturing and supporting young creative talents, and cooperation with the Department of Education and Knowledge provides the best specialized educational resources for young artists in the emirate, which contributes to the development and refinement of their skills. And mastering their creative power, as well as providing a platform through which they can share their artistic vision with others, expressing his aspiration to see children and their creativity flourish every year, in addition to contemplating their artistic productions as they gain confidence year following year.
Her Excellency Sarah Awad Issa Muslim, Minister of State for Early Education, Head of the Federal Agency for Early Education and Head of the Department of Education and Knowledge – Abu Dhabi, said: This exhibition embodies the essential role of the education system in Abu Dhabi in nurturing creative talents and elevating them to new horizons. Through art, we can prepare a new generation of creators who are able to express their unique vision and deep pride in our history and culture, stressing that the exhibition is a unique platform to celebrate the tireless efforts and firm commitment shown by talented students, inspiring teachers and school staff throughout the year.
The program also enabled Mawhibati students to display their artwork through many regional and international exhibitions, including the Film and Comic Con exhibition, Expo 2020, and the New York Jewelery Show.
This exhibition was preceded by the Student Concert for the Performing Arts of the Mawhibati Program, which was held at the Cultural Foundation Theater from 4-6 May, where regarding 200 students, including six distinguished students of determination, presented a variety of performances that included ballet, singing and theater. and traditional music and performing arts.
Since its inception in 2017, the Mawhibatti program has focused on exploring the emerging artistic talents of students in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, and providing them with the necessary support to enrich their creativity and artistic vision and inspire them to pursue their passions.
The program also contributes to enhancing national identity and pride in Emirati culture and heritage by highlighting the rich artistic traditions of the UAE using the power of art and performance.
The Mawhibatti program also provides intensive training sessions throughout the year following school hours to develop and hone students’ artistic talents, under the supervision of specialized trainers and professors working in art centers affiliated with the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi, including the Free Studio and Children’s Art Center in the Cultural Foundation, and the Art Studio in Manarat Al Saadiyat. Bait Al Oud, Berkeley Abu Dhabi, and Al Qattara Arts Center. The exhibition receives its audience daily from 10 am to 8 pm in the S showroom.
