My relationship with everyone is good, and the first of them is Valentino Rossi

5-time world champion Jorge Lorenzo believes that the world has changed in recent years, that his rivalry with Valentino Rossi is over and they are now friends.

Lorenzo was subjected to a wave of criticism and hate from the doctor’s fans following their competition for the championship in 2015, which ended with Lorenzo winning the title.

Rossi left the championship arena at the end of last year with a legendary record of 21 years.

“These days there is no longer any grudge between the riders, everyone is friends on and off the track, and we all have good relations,” Lorenzo said.

He continued, “Social media brought the distances between everyone, and this thing positively affected the sport, and personally, I have great respect for all the riders.”

He added, “Our battles on the track excited the spectators, including what happened between me and Valentino, between Valentino and Stoner, and between Valentino and Biagi. The stands and the fans were at the highest degree of enthusiasm.”

He continued: “It is similar to what happens in Formula One with Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen, their competition gives the championship another flavor, but in the end they are friends despite everything.”
