Syrian artist Dana Jabr revealed for the first time regarding her artistic beginnings, her marriage to a Syrian artist, and her separation from him.

Dana Jabr said during the “Yalla Trend” program that she was born into a poor family, and they sometimes suffered from not having the price of bread, noting that she was psychologically affected by people leaving the “market” with many things.

Jabr added in her speech that what influenced her most was her artistic beginnings, as she sought to present herself in a distinctive way, even though she did not study acting, and no one helped her how to speak in front of the camera.

Jabr continued that she was thinking a lot regarding the worries of life, and how to rely on herself and help her family, noting that there were those who talked regarding her being beautiful, and that she had plastic surgery.

She continued: “Praise be to God, I worked a lot on myself, and I started to get paid for my fees, and at this moment I was very upset that I was carrying the burden of my family while people were talking regarding me in a very stupid and ridiculous way.”

The Syrian artist added regarding her husband, “My beginning was in art. I did not love him, but his masculine attitudes were what made me love him. I became attached to him and admired the amount of his love for me, especially since he was tormented so that we might be together and bond.”

Jabr noted in her speech, saying: “Shortly following marriage, I discovered that he was planning to betray me, so I stopped there. I was shocked at that time and had a nervous breakdown that put me in the hospital, especially since I was young and innocent. I gave him a chance to apologize, but he did not do it, so we separated.”

Jabr concluded her speech that following the separation, she continued her work outside Syria, and was preoccupied with the issue of marriage, betrayal, and separation, but following she returned home and saw their pictures and the pictures of their friends, following six months, she felt the importance of having a family, saying: “I love stability and marriage.”
