But now reports are coming out that a player who was trying to bring Barcelona to their club has openly said that Real Madrid is his favorite club.
Red Bull Salzburg star Israeli player Oscar Glock has revealed that his favorite club is Real Madrid and his biggest dream is to play at the Santiago Bernabeu.
The star’s frankness was in an interview given to Forbes Israel.
Oscar Glock was the player that Barcelona tried to bring to their stage. According to Xavi’s plans, Barca tried to bring Glock to the club as a part of dismantling Barca.
“I can say for sure. Ever since I started playing football, I wanted to play for Real Madrid. I am a big Real Madrid fan.
“My biggest dream is to wear the jersey of Real Madrid and play at the Santiago Bernabeu,” said Oscar Glock.
“I am delighted that Barcelona tried to buy me. But they failed to sign me,’ Glock added.
Salzburg signed Oskar Glock in the January transfer window for €7 million.
The player has been able to prove his quality in just five matches played for the club.
Meanwhile, in La Liga, Barca is at the top of the league table with 59 points from 23 matches, while Barcelona is at the second position with 52 points from the same number of matches.
The next El Clasico match between Real and Barca is on March 3 at 1:30 AM IST.
The two clubs will face each other in the first leg of the Copa del Rey semi-final.
