THQ Nordic and Rainbow Studios have announced the postponement of MX vs ATV Legends. Initially scheduled for May 24, the game will finally be released on June 28. The studio invokes a desire not to rush quality control to ensure frame rate stability and correct bugs. Lenore Gilbert, president of Rainbow Studios, detailed this report on the game’s site:
[…] Game delays are never pleasant for developers, nor for gamers. In our case, we had to choose between speed and quality, and the decision was simple. We want to be sure that when MX vs. ATV Legends will be released, it will be the highest level of quality that Rainbow Studios can offer. Our art team makes sure the frame rate is high and stable by making tons of passes in all environments. We play trailers and then listen to feedback to make sure the physics are on point. Designers working in all departments to ensure that what we deliver is a gaming experience that will excite you every time you turn on your console. Engineers test the stability of our new dedicated servers so that the online experience is seamless for everyone. And of course, the QA department works on all bugs.
However, the news is not all bleak. Indeed, we are entitled to a new trailer which presents the collector’s version of the game. It includes the game, five artwork cards, a keychain, ingame cosmetics and, not least, a statuette of the rider on the Yamaha YZ450F 2021 edition. MX vs ATV Legends sortira sur Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PS5, PS4 et PC.
