Modern Warfare 3 players have heavily criticized the new “Zombies Aetherium Ultra” bundle in the store, due to its high price for what is described as a “pay to lose” skin.
Available recently in the Call of Duty store, the “Aetherium Ultra Zombies” pack was quickly targeted by Modern Warfare 3 players for its excessive price and seemingly problematic skin.
Costing 2,800 COD Points, the equivalent of almost €25, the pack offers an operator skin, two weapon blueprints, a Refined Aether Crystal, a business card, a sticker, and a lucky charm .

But if some packs are generally “pay to win”, this one is quite the opposite.

Drawing the community’s attention to this new pack from the Modern Warfare 3 store, a user Reddit shared his thoughts on the “Zombies Aetherium Ultra” pack.
“Is anyone actually going to buy this?” before emphasizing that “You get almost nothing with this and especially for 2,800 CP…“

Equally unimpressed with the pack, one player responded: “If you want a skin that makes you lose, yes” criticizing the visibility of the Scorch operator skin from a distance.

Others were more concerned about the pack’s high price, responding: “Does it cost €25? I’ll buy Resident Evil 4 instead“.
Even players who liked the contents of the pack were stunned by its price: “I really thought about buying it, but 2,800 points?! It should be illegal. I mean, the operator is cool, so are the weapons, but for a skin that’s only good for Zombies mode, it’s just a ripoff!“
Given fan reactions to this new CoD pack, the war between players and microtransactions should last for quite a while.
