The cheating epidemic in MW3 has gotten progressively worse, and players are demanding new ways to combat this frustrating trend.
In an attempt to combat cheaters across all modes, Activision released Ricochet in 2021, a brand new anti-cheat system. Two years later, this anti-cheat seems to be spinning in a vacuum, as MW3 and Warzone are both infested with cheaters en masse.
The situation is such that some fans cannot distinguish whether some players are openly cheating or just good at the game.
After an official update announcing that over 23,000 accounts have been banned, MW3 players have taken matters into their own hands to consider additional measures to combat cheaters.

CoD Players Consider Ways to Counter MW3’s Cheating Problems
After thinking regarding the state of MW3, with 23,000 accounts banned Since mid-November, MW3 players have been meeting to discuss what might be done to combat cheaters.

On the one hand, some applaud anti-cheat which appears to “learn”, provided it is programmed correctly. Others criticized the removal of the ability to enable or disable crossplay.
On the other hand, 23,000 banned accounts seems like a good start. However, when you factor in MW3’s free access weekend in December, this seems like just a drop in the sea of cheaters.
While Ricochet is evolving rapidly, many players feel that the cheater problem in MW3 and Warzone is completely out of control.
Let’s hope that the developers will look into this subject once more in the coming weeks in order to satisfy players who are increasingly frustrated.
