Mutant Amsterdam opens its doors

« Amsterdam remains a unique place where international brands and talents meet. We see great potential for Mutant, both from a business and recruitment perspective, ” declares Innie TranClient Director.

This second Mutant will be led by Aeneas Panayiotou, who joined “the green” earlier this year. Aeneas brings a wealth of experience from his previous roles at adidas, Netflix et Red Bull. At adidas, he was part of the Brand Marketing team for adidas Originals, where he had the privilege of supporting fashion collaborations with YEEZY, Statement, Consortium, and the app Confirmed. At Netflix, he was the Global Creative Marketing lead for original series in the UK, including Top Boy et Formula 1: Drive to Survive. Prior to that, Aeneas oversaw social media for Red Bull’s cultural and sports projects, including the Red Bull Music Academy et Red Bull Racing.

Launch of Mutant Branding

All good things come in threes. Monday, September 23 also marks the official launch of Mutant Branding. Mutant has always been very attentive to craft and design since the beginning. Before we even knew it, we were already being approached as a branding agency, alongside our advertising missions, ” declares Frank Schouwaerts, Design Director at Mutant since 2020. But even though we were doing great work for major brands and winning awards at D&AD, we sometimes felt like we were still perceived as an ad agency that was good at design. It was time to clear the air by proving that we could compete with the best branding studios. »

Mutant Branding doesn’t start with a blank resume and work done for brands like FOMU, 11.11.11, Forward, Bruges Museums or Film Fest Ghent is proof of this.
The branding studio will operate as a separate entity within the Mutant ecosystem and will focus solely on creating and reimagining brand identities that truly matter to people, through insightful strategy, authentic connection to contemporary culture, and compelling design.
