Mustafa Kemal Ataturk 2023 Military Exercise: Powerful Defense Cooperation between Türkiye and Azerbaijan

The Minister of National Defense, Yaşar Gulerand their counterparts Zakir Hasanov of Azerbaijan and Sherali Mirzon of Tajikistan attended the “Select Observer Day” of the military exercise “Mustafa Kemal Ataturk 2023” at the Centenary of the Republic of Türkiye, held by the Armed Forces of Türkiye and Azerbaijan.

The missions carried out during the “Distinguished Observer Day” held at the military training zone near the capital Baku were literally real war scenes.

The maneuver began with the fall of the enemy positions to the Turkish and Azerbaijani commando troops. Turkish F-16 aircraft destroyed representative enemy air defense units.

In the exercise, in which tank units attacked enemy positions following firing with missile and artillery units, Bayraktar TB2 armed drones destroyed the enemy’s representative missile systems “Iskendar” and “Tochka-U” with precise fire. Turkish and Azerbaijani special troops apprehended high-level commanders carrying out landings behind the enemy.

The military maneuver, which has 3,000 personnel, 130 tanks and armored vehicles, 100 cannons and missile systems, 20 airplanes and helicopters, is carried out in Baku, Nakhchivan and the region liberated from the invasion.

Tomorrow the “Mustafa Kemal Atatürk 2023” exercise will end, which aims to increase interaction and coordination between the Turkish and Azerbaijani armies.
