It was a tough Saturday for Manchester United’s men’s team when they lost against Brighton & Hove Albion in stoppage time. New tough task awaits against Liverpool on Sunday. In addition to that, we also have draws in the League Cup and Europa League to look forward to. The ladies were supposed to have faced Liverpool in a training match this weekend, but this was cancelled. For the youth teams, there were good victories, of which the juniors put their neighbors on their backs in the so-called mini derby.Â

Matchrapport

PL2: Manchester United – Stoke City 4-1

After an opening loss to Arsenal and the sensational EFL Trophy turnaround against Barnsley earlier this week, Travis Binnion saw his side put in a more reassuring performance.

Malachi Sharpe scored two of the goals and ensured that United took a comfortable 3-1 lead. Sam Mather scored the final goal and Jack Fletcher the game’s first.

P18: Manchester City – Manchester United 0-2

The junior team took a reassuring derby victory away from home when they won 2-0. It is of course not the first time United beat City, but this time they showed a very controlled game and there were never any signs of concern.
