Musk’s Twitter Restrictions Lead to TweetDeck Crashes
Elon Musk’s decision to limit the number of tweets allowed to be read per day affected users in general, but it particularly affected users of the TweetDeck service.
On Monday, users of TweetDeck, which allows managing Twitter accounts, complained of significant problems with notifications and timeline downloads.
Several users have noticed that the main timeline is working normally, but other parts, such as notifications, mentions, and likes, are not working properly.
“TweetDeck gets flooded with multiple errors following opening the app for a few minutes,” noted engineer Molly White.
Musk limited the number of tweets that each user can see per day to 10,000 tweets in the paid version and 1,000 tweets in the free version.
Since TweetDeck loads multiple tweets across different columns at once, Musk’s restrictions seem to have a greater impact on the platform, according to TechCrunch.
And “TweetDeck” closed its “Apple” device application in June 2022, before Musk’s acquisition of “Twitter”.
At the time, Twitter said it was testing a new version of its TweetDeck web app in select geographic regions.
After the transfer of ownership to Musk, there was no information regarding the future of TweetDeck, although there were persistent rumors that the company would turn it into a paid service.
