Musk says he wants more freedom of speech on Twitter. But digital experts warn once morest restricting the moderation of content. Verbal blunders online lead to more hate crimes in the real world. And Musk is known to value freedom of speech only as long as it doesn’t harm him.

Elon Musk is caught up in contradictions. On the one hand, he calls for more discourse on the Internet and describes himself as an “absolutist of freedom of speech”. On the other hand, he repeatedly makes life difficult for people who express their own opinions.
