The world music industry mourns the passing of Quincy Jones, an iconic figure who has made many contributions to the world of music.

The certainty of Jones’ death was confirmed by his spokesman, Arnold Robinson, in an official statement.
However, the cause of death was not disclosed. Quincy Jones was born on March 14, 1933 and during his career, he has received 28 Grammy awards from 80 nominations, including a special Grammy Legend Award in 1992.
Jones is best known as the producer of the legendary album “Thriller” sung by Michael Jackson, as well as being involved in the production of the famous “We Are The World” charity recording in 1985.

He also composed the soundtrack for the successful 1969 film, “The Italian Job,” starring Michael Caine.
According to a report from Sky News, his spokesperson confirmed that Jones died at his home in Los Angeles on Sunday, surrounded by his loving family.
“Tonight, with full but broken hearts, we must announce that our father and brother, Quincy Jones, has passed away. “While this loss is profound for us, we celebrate his extraordinary life and know that there will never be another like him,” the family said in a statement.

Jones’ family added that he was a “truly unique figure” who they will miss greatly.
“We feel comforted and proud to know that love and happiness, which were his essence, have been shared with the world through his works,” they added.

Quincy Jones is also known for having seven children with actress Rashida Jones, best known for her roles in the series “Parks And Recreation” and the US version of “The Office.”
