STEYR. The Music Award Steyr (MAS) is starting the year 2023 with a kick-off event on Thursday, March 16, in Akku.
The Music Award Steyr is entering its fourth round this year, again for musicians throughout Upper Austria. The kick-off event will take place on Thursday, March 16, from 5 p.m. in the Akku, with the band Cecilia providing live music. Free tickets are on musicawardsteyr.at available.
The MAS was initiated by Tobias Kammerhofer, the founder of the Steyr and film agency Werbeberg, Günter Stöffelbauer (Highjump Event Agency) and Stefan Kern (Kern Musikinstrumente). Prerequisite for participation is again the band’s connection to Upper Austria and a self-produced and published song. The Steyr Music Prize has existed since 2020 and since then has been awarded with the main prize for the professionally produced music video. In addition to the public vote, a specialist jury determines the placement of the artists.
