Murders in broad daylight in Montreal: a suspicious vehicle found

A vehicle possibly linked to one of the two murders that occurred Tuesday afternoon in Montreal was located by Montreal police on Wednesday morning.

The suspect vehicle was located, after a call to the Montreal police around 10:40 a.m., on Canora Road, near Franklin Avenue, in Town of Mount-Royal, barely one kilometer from the Rockland Shopping Center where the first murder.

“According to investigators, the vehicle corresponds to the suspect’s getaway vehicle,” confirmed Montreal Police Service (SPVM) spokesperson Gabriella Youakim. He will be sent for expertise to the investigation center, it was specified.

Recall that Tuesday, around 1 p.m., a 44-year-old man was shot while he was in the mall parking lot. According to information from our Bureau of Investigation, the victim, Maxime Lenoir, is a drug trafficker.

Thirty minutes after this event, a 50-year-old man, Diego Fiorita, was also shot in the upper body in the Napoli pizzeria located on rue Saint-Denis.

The deaths of the two men were officially confirmed by the police late Tuesday afternoon.
