Murder of the young Malek near Liège: the autopsy reveals the causes of her death

The autopsy of the young Anderlechtoise found dead, Friday in Ougrée, in the Liège region, delivered its first elements. Catherine Collignon, first substitute for the King’s prosecutor and spokesperson for the Liège public prosecutor’s office, says: “The autopsy of the suspect shows that it is a suicide. As for the young victim, the medical examiner concludes that he died violently by strangulation (strangulation) and a violent shock to the head. The medical examiner specified that there were traces of sexual assault on the teenager, but that “Additional homework is ongoing at the moment.”

A week ago, Thursday January 5, Thursday evening, the mother of the teenager filed a complaint in Brussels, because she realized that her two children had not returned to the family home. “She was very worried“, specifies the spokeswoman of the Public Prosecutor’s Office of Liège. The deceased teenager, Malek, did not have a mobile phone, it was via Olivier’s mobile phone that she called her mother to warn her that she was going “go shopping.” This call allowed investigators to locate the phone in the Liège region, where the two bodies were discovered the next day.

Recall of facts

Olivier, a 37-year-old Sérésien was found hanged early Friday morning in Plainevaux, in the entity of Neupré, in the province of Liège. In the individual’s car, parked nearby, was a two-and-a-half-year-old girl, who was rescued. Also on Friday, around noon, the lifeless body of Malek, a 14-year-old girl from Anderlecht, was then discovered along a path in Ougrée, in the entity of Seraing. The Liège public prosecutor’s office quickly established that the two facts seemed to be linked. The Anderlecht teenager was probably contacted by the 30-year-old via social networks. The Sérésien would have offered to go shopping and an appointment would have been fixed in the Brussels region. The young girl would have accepted the proposal and would have taken her little sister with her. The two girls had been reported missing as of Thursday evening.
