A 59-year-old man suspected of murder following the discovery of a woman’s body at his home in Rouen on Thursday, was indicted and remanded in custody, we learned this Sunday from a judicial source.
“The indicted is 59 years old,” said the Rouen prosecutor’s office. “He disputes the facts”, added the prosecution confirming information from Paris Normandyaccording to which the respondent is suspected of repeat murder.
“Traces of blows and stab wounds”
The body of a woman bearing traces of stabbing was found Thursday in her apartment in Rouen, leading to the opening of an investigation for intentional homicide, a police source said on Friday.
Born in 1965, the victim, who “was not particularly known to the police”, bore on his body “traces of blows and stab wounds”, added this source, without being able to specify the type of armed. The body had been discovered by firefighters who had been requested by neighbors, according to this source. An autopsy is scheduled for this week.
