Querétaro, Qro. In In the heart of the city of Querétaro, a woman was murdered and three more people were injured, including a municipal police officer on Monday night.
According to the first information, the crime was perpetrated on Benito Juárez Street on the corner of 16 de Septiembre near the Zenea Garden.
There, an individual attacked a woman with a sharp weapon who had just left a City Banamex ATM accompanied by her husband and son with the apparent intention of stealing the money she had just withdrawn.
He slit the woman’s throat, whose identity is withheld by the authorities, so she died a few minutes later at the scene. She also caused injuries to the victim’s spouse and son.
A policewoman from the Querétaro municipal Public Security Secretariat tried to stop him, but was also injured.
After the launch of a police operation, the alleged murderer and assailant was arrested.
He was referred to the public prosecutor’s office of the Querétaro Attorney General’s Office.
Experts and personnel from the Forensic Medical Service appeared at the scene to remove the body and collect evidence.
