Search for perpetrator
The police remained tight-lipped about how the man was killed. Initial information suggests that the Slovakian was beaten to death. On Wednesday, witnesses were questioned and the hotel’s video surveillance was evaluated. There is no trace of the perpetrator.
Colleagues found body
The victim was found by a work colleague at around 9:30 a.m. The man had come to the hotel to check on the construction worker because he had not shown up for work. According to media reports, the 29-year-old was working at the construction site at the train station, but the police did not confirm this.
The hotel near Franz Josef Station is not big and has 167 rooms. However, there is a police station just 200 meters away.
