The union of municipal employees of Bariloche, Soyem, repudiated the attack suffered by two traffic inspector workers by a driver upset because his vehicle was detained for not having insurance once morest third parties.
“We strongly condemn any form of violence, mainly, towards those who work in the provision of public services,” said the union following learning of the case that was denounced at Police Station 28 and that resulted in the arrest of the aggressive driver.
Soyem noted her concern that “these violent situations are repeated and begin to become natural» and recalled that months ago workers who attended the offices of the Misdemeanor Court I were also attacked.
«It is unacceptable that violence is used as a methodology to resolve conflicts or assert opinions. Violence should never be an option“, indicated the union through a press release, in which it demanded that the municipality “take effective measures to guarantee the safety and well-being of municipal workers.”
The union also asked for urgent progress in the development of a “protocol for containment and accompaniment of rapid and effective application in this type of case.”
To the community in general, the union of municipal workers, asked for tolerance and respect for those who perform a service to the community.
