2023-04-23 15:06:00

The municipal council met on Thursday April 19 under the direction of Nicolas Carro. The classified wooded area (EBC) was notably on the agenda. Registered in the Local Urban Plan (PLU) and covering an area of 1,138 m², the grove of 61 trees is located on the perimeter of the urban renewal project of the former hospital. With certain buildings, this space which constituted “a natural habitat for about fifteen protected birds” was partly deconstructed. Only 13 trees were preserved. In June 2022, a study was carried out by an arborist expert on the phytosanitary state of this EBC. In the report that Michel Fromont, commissioner of inquiry, submitted to the community in February 2023, it is indicated that the City undertakes to create a new EBC of an equivalent surface, as compensation. The parcel located in the agricultural zone and cadastralized section D n°238, located upstream from the campsite, has been signposted for the realization of this site. The project provides for the planting of 111 trees since compensation of two trees has been planned for each tree removed. The council issued a favorable opinion on the project.
