Mumbai Indians have added Dhawal Kulkarni to their squad

Mumbai Indians have named veteran pacer Dhawal Kulkarni in their squad. The franchise has recalled a former Mumbai player following poor performances by pacers who were brought to the team at auction. If he performs well in training sessions, he may play in more matches. Dhawal Kulkarni was on the commentary panel for this season’s IPL.

The pacers are doing very poorly for Mumbai, whose bidding plans have all but failed. Jaspreet Bumra is in bad form. Jayadev Unadkat, Basil Thampi, Daniel Sams and Thaimal Mills are all disappointing. It was Mumbai’s worst season to lose all eight matches played.

Kulkarni played for the Mumbai Indians from 2008 to 2013 and later for the Rajasthan Royals and Gujarat Lions. He played a total of 92 matches for the Mumbai Indians and took 86 wickets. The player, who returned to the Mumbai Indians in the 2020 and 21 seasons, played just one match. However, it is reported that Kulkarni will get more chances this time. According to reports, captain Rohit Sharma is keen to include Kulkarni in the squad. The Mumbai Indians are counting on the 33-year-old to use his competitive experience.
