A real star of this summer 2022, MultiVersus, the multiplayer fighting game, owes its inspiration to Super Smash Bros. Suffice to say that it beats hard in the Warner Bros universe, especially since a new record has just been reached.
From the fight, do you want some here
Since its launch in open beta on July 26, MultiVersus never ceases to make the headlines of the video game news of the moment. A smash-like inspired by Nintendo’s cult license, a free-to-play economic model, characters from the Warner Bros universe… It must be said that the recipe has something to appeal to players.
Among the latest news, and not the best… Speaking of characters, we learned that that of Gandalf won’t be part of the cast following allmost it is especially postponement of season 1 who has been in the news since last week. But all this does not seem to taint the experience and the title continues to increase its popularity by chaining a new record.
A record doubled!
The records parade one following the other for MultiVersus since its release. It’s not a surprise when you know that the game ended up crossing the milestone of 5 million players. While this exploit was reported early last week following a handful of estimated numbers on the PC Gamer site, it took barely a week to double the record and smash it. This time it’s the site tracker.gg which displays a total number of players at more than 10.2 milliona colossal figure that corresponds to the number of accounts that have been created, as you can see for yourself in the image below.
Note that these statistics include all players, whether on PlayStation 5 or PlayStation 4 on the Sony side, on Xbox Series X / S and Xbox One with regard to Microsoft, without forgetting the PC version.
It is moreover on all these aforementioned platforms that MultiVersus is available for download without having to pay a single penny out of your pocket.
