The Swiss did not collect any medals at the European Championships in Munich. The ladies’ quad had to settle for a mortifying 4th place.
Celia Dupré, Salome Ulrich, Lisa Lötscher and Pascale Walker were overtaken by Great Britain, the Netherlands and Ukraine. The day before in repechage, the Swiss had taken the best of the Dutch to complete their course 13 seconds faster than on Saturday. Their 2nd place at the recent World Cup events in Poznan had given rise to very legitimate ambitions.
