The violent explosion took place on the BR-10 highway in Brazil, which links the municipalities of Paragominas and Ulianópolis. Among the six injured were three journalists from a television station.

“The team, made up of reporter Alan Nelis, film reporter Wellington Moura and technician Marcio Lopes, was close to the isolation site, approximately 300 or 400 metres from the truck,” the television station said in a statement.
The fire department reported that the vehicle was completely destroyed and the road was closed for at least three hours while the corresponding work was carried out for the safety of the other people.
Following the shocking incident, the Civil Police of Paragominas went to the site to investigate the causes of the accident. They also secured the area to prevent further risks.
It is not yet known what caused the fire in the tanker.
