Multan Sultans, Peshawar Zalmi Qualifier match scheduled tomorrow

After Multan Sultans’ victory on Tuesday night, he is set to face Zalmi in the HBL PSL 9 qualifier, which will be played at the National Bank Stadium on March 14 at 9 pm.

In the match played in Karachi, Multan Sultans defeated Quetta Gladiators by 79 runs and maintained their lead on the points table.

Batting first, Multan scored 185 runs for the loss of four wickets with the help of half-centuries from Mohammad Rizwan and Johnson Charles. David Wiley and Osama Mir took three wickets, thanks to which the Quetta team was bundled out for 106 runs.

After the victory, Sultans are set to face Zalmi in the HBL PSL 9 Qualifier, which will be played at the National Bank Stadium on March 14 at 9 pm.

Multan Sultans opening batsmen Yasir Khan and Mohammad Rizwan put on a partnership of 16 runs as the Gladiators won the toss and elected to field first.

After that, a partnership of 52 runs was established for the second wicket in which Usman Khan supported Rizwan and stabilized Multan’s innings. In the fifth over, Rizwan hit a six while Usman hit two consecutive fours to move the scoreboard.

In the tenth over, Usman was surprised by Abrar Ahmed with his magic ball. Way was able to dismiss the right-handed batsman with this ball.

In the 14th over, Rizwan completed his 64th T20 half-century in 35 balls.

In the 17th over, Mohammad Amir dismissed Rizwan for misusing a leg cutter which was caught by Quetta’s captain Riley Russo.

Amir took two wickets while Abrar and Wasim Akram took one wicket each.

In reply, Quetta Gladiators got off to a terrible start and lost the first four wickets early. On the second ball of the third over, David Wiley first dismissed Jason Roy.

Saud Shakeel was then run out by Yasir on the last delivery of the over.

After that, Khawaja Nafi formed a 26-run partnership with Umeer bin Yousuf for the fifth wicket. He hit a four on the last ball of the seventh over. In the next over, Umair hit a four while Nafee hit a six. Quetta scored 73 runs for the loss of four wickets at half-time.

Abrar was dismissed for a duck in two balls which brought Multan closer to a match once morest Peshawar Zalmi in the HBL PSL 9 Qualifier. Usama took the last wicket, thanks to which the Quetta team was bowled out for 106 runs, which was the lowest score of HBL PSL 9.

Wali and Osama took three wickets for 22 runs in four overs while Abbas took two wickets. Ali also dismissed a batsman.

Multan Sultans defeated Quetta Gladiators by 79 runs. Mohammad Rizwan was declared the best player of the match.
