Mulhouse: Minéralexpo crystallizes around potash mines
A century of potash history in Alsace: this is the theme of the 45th edition of the Minéralexpo exhibition, organized by the association Les amis des sciences de la terre, this weekend at the Mulhouse exhibition park.

Lovers of crystallizations, fossils, meteorites, precious stones, natural stone jewelry and other mineralogical curiosities will meet Saturday and Sunday at the Mineralexpo exhibition exchange at the Mulhouse exhibition park.
The organizing association Friends of Earth Sciences is honoring “a century of potash history in Alsace”. If the presence of salt was detected in the subsoil of the region as early as 1869 by Gustave Dollfus in Dornach, the first drilling dates from 1904 in Wittelsheim-Richwiller. The exploitation of potash then began for a hundred years. Exhibits from the Wittelsheim Mining and Potash Museum will be on display, with unique samples.
Around a hundred exhibitors from all over France, but also from Germany, the Netherlands, Poland, Belgium, Italy and Morocco, will present minerals from around the world. A space of 500 m2 will be dedicated to well-being. Finally, in addition to participating in fun activities, children will leave with a mineralogical sample.

Bischoffsheim: Broc’Land geek, a show for pop culture enthusiasts
Bischoffsheim is hosting Broc’Land geek this weekend, a major trade fair organized by the Burgundian company Tandem Events France. This meeting dedicated to geek culture enthusiasts will bring together around forty exhibitors from Alsace and neighboring departments. Objects related to video games, consoles, vintage toys, mangas and comics will be offered for sale or exchange. Three photographer-videographer friends meet this Friday at Espace Ried Brun to share their common passion for nature. Isabelle Dobler presents a 20-minute film, In the Kingdom of Giants, where toads, salamanders and frogs meet foxes and badgers. For Raymond Tongio, these are five short videos of 6 minutes each, the heroes of which are hawks, birds, lizards or snakes, badgers and bellowing deer. Buhl: the Celtic group Excalembour puts to music the winter legends of Alsace
Founded in 1996, Excalembour celebrates soft or festive Celtic music. This ensemble of multi-instrumentalist musicians revisits the tunes of Celtic countries (Ireland, Scotland, Brittany, Quebec) in their own way and happily shares their original compositions.
