Vienna (OTS) – The MUK.symphony orchestra of the Music and Art Private University of the City of Vienna, a Wien Holding company, will present a first-class concert experience in cooperation with Jeunesse on Tuesday, December 5, 2023, at 7:30 p.m. in the Great Hall of the Musikverein Wien.
“Man and nature in the musical mirror” – Beethoven, Boulanger and Shostakovich
The musical arc stretches from Dmitri Shostakovich Piano Concerto No. 1 in C minor op. 35 from 1933, which the composer himself described as a “mocking challenge to the conservative-serious character of the classical concert”, up to Symphony No. 6 in F major by Ludwig van Beethoven from 1808. This work is considered a forerunner of musical impressionism.
Particularly outstanding is the presentation of the last composition by the French composer Lili Boulanger, who died early, Of a spring morning. Her late romantic observation of nature is characterized by a restrained, subjective intensity and gives the concert a very special touch.
The MUK students Stefanie Plank on the trumpet and Viviana-Zarah Baudis on the piano as well as the MUK.sinfonieorchester under the sensitive musical direction of Andreas Stoehr promise an evening full of musical contrasts and emotional depth. The trumpet and the piano become the sonorous protagonists in this versatile program.
The MUK.sinfonieorchester cordially invites music lovers and those interested in culture to be carried away by this unique concert on Tuesday, December 5, 2023 at 7:30 p.m. in the Great Hall of the Musikverein Wien.
Tickets can be purchased online via www.jeunesse.at be ordered.
Following the concert, the young artist and pianist Viviana-Zarah Baudis, who is making her debut this evening in the Golden Hall of the Konzertverein Wien, invites selected journalists and VIPs to a red carpet event in the C. Bechstein Centrum.
