Manama: Muhammad bin Asshaikh, who entered the field of teaching in the 1950s and imparted an inexhaustible wealth of knowledge to many, has passed away. He was a teacher in schools in Budaiya, Duras, Banijamra, Barbar and East Riffa.
He is known as the guru who taught the members of the royal family and famous people. He was at the forefront of imparting knowledge for 34 consecutive years until his retirement in 1984. His students include King Hamad Bin Isa Al Khalifa. Disciples recall that he was a teacher who came to class early and imparted knowledge sincerely with humility and love. He used to spend his own money and buy gifts for the children who were doing well in the class.
