OWNER of the Bebek Gobres food stall, Lalu Pupuh Putrangga, admitted that he was helped by the capital support provided by PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk. Because, through People’s Business Credit (KUR) from BRI, he can continue his business and has the opportunity to expand in the near future.
Pupuh received KUR from BRI worth IDR 100 million in February 2023. At that time, he sold his processed duck products based on a pre-order system. He made sales to colleagues in his office.
Not infrequently, said Pupuh, the processed duck is ordered as a meal following work meetings by the leadership. Bebek Gobres was founded on Pupuh’s persistence and determination to sell and has five branches.
At least, that dream now seems to be coming true. Currently, Bebek Gobres has a branch at Depok Baru Station. Meanwhile, the main stall is in Sukmajaya, Depok. The branch stall, said Pupuh, only provides take away services to reduce capital costs.
Through the KUR he obtained from BRI, Pupuh succeeded in creating jobs. It was recorded that he had employed two people at two Bebek Gobres stalls. “So with the hope of adding branches, it can also increase employment opportunities for other people,” said Pupuh when met at his shop, Monday (21/3).
In an average month, added Pupuh, he pocketed a turnover of around IDR 20 million at one stall. This is obtained from selling around 20 ducks per day. Even though he has opened a shop, Pupuh still serves orders from his relatives and office friends on a pre-order basis.

He is grateful that Bebek Gobres’ business can continue. Pupuh believes that what has been achieved now is just the beginning. He is well aware of the ups and downs that will occur in running a business. Moreover, he previously swallowed the bitter pill in 2017 and 2021, namely going out of business.
“In my brain, I want to sell, I have to have a shop. Because I am a civil servant. If you retire and have no income, you will definitely be confused. “I want when I retire, I can generate the same income as when I was still working,” he explained.
Even though his business currently seems to be running smoothly, Pupuh admits that he still needs guidance and assistance to improve and increase the quality of service, as well as marketing. Therefore, as a BRI customer, he hopes that the company will also foster and support the development of his duck business.
“If, for example, there was assistance from BRI, of course I would be very happy. Because from this assistance, I will be able to gain a network and community. If there was assistance, maybe I might get that knowledge, because digital marketing is really important now. “Then maybe I can also be assisted on how to package and market,” he hoped. (Mir/Z-7)
